Translation Coordinator
We are looking for a Translation Coordinator to manage the translation of online courses and digital learning resources into Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish for eye health professionals, delivered through our client’s Cybersight platform.

Contract type: Full-time, 1-year contract*
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple translation projects, distributing tasks among in-house translators, agencies, and ophthalmic staff/volunteers.
- Source, hire, and manage relationships with translators, agencies, and voiceover/subtitling services, including handling quotations and invoices.
- Integrate AI-powered translation tools into projects as needed.
- Prepare online course content and materials for translation, coordinating video transcriptions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to translations.
- Liaise with ophthalmology experts on terminology and translator queries.
- Coordinate review and proofreading of translated content.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure accuracy and high standards in translated content.
- Ensure translated content is ready for hand-off to Cybersight online course programmers.
- Maintain project documentation, source files, and records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Background in Languages, Linguistics, Translation, or Communications.
- Proven experience managing translation projects, preferably in education or online learning.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong vendor/agency relationship management.
- Excellent proofreading skills.
- Working knowledge of translation tools and software (desirable).
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese and fluent English. Working knowledge of Spanish is desirable.
- Passion for language and cultural nuances in translations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
